What could you do for Dismas House New Mexico?

Volunteer Cook for Dinner Program... Work as a team or individual to prepare a meal for Dismas House residents. Community dinners are held Monday through Thursday at each of the private men's and women's houses.; Conduct Surveys... This project entails compiling information to be used to make recommendations to improve services for men and women on parole.
Speakers Bureau... This project entails contacting churches in Albuquerque and gathering information about the congregation, offering to be a liaison on behalf of Dismas House Staff and to make themselves available for the speakers bureau.; Applicant Interviews... Conduct telephone and in person interview with potential residents of Dismas House New Mexico. Interviews will be conducted in prisons, office settings and over the telephone. Ideal volunteer should have a degree in social work.; Life By Design Guest Speaker... Dismas House New Mexico is always looking for motivational speakers who can enrich the lives of our residents by sharing their knowledge. Past subjects have included: Meditation, Finances, Starting your own Business, and Education.; Special Events or Projects Throughout the year we have a number of events that support our work. If you enjoy event planning, contacting potential auction donors and helping to implement these events, you�ll love this volunteer activity!
